Announcing the Mystic Meadows Mystery Shawl knitalong!
This rectangular stole draws its inspiration from the flowering midsummer meadows with colourful flowers of every hue.
The finished dimensions are approx. 75 cm by 204 cm (29.5 in x 80 in).
My shawl is knit on 4.5 mm needles, using 8 oz (two skeins) of Prezzie Signature yarn from Brooklyn Handspun (480 yds per 4 oz skein). The shawl uses approx. 960 yds of yarn. As always, yarn substitutions are encouraged.SIGN UP FOR KAL
The pattern will be made available for a knitalong, starting June 2.
It will be distributed to the members in four consecutive pieces, once a week on Mondays.
The last part of the pattern will be released on June 23.

Ah, disappointed to see that there's a fee for this KAL. Totally support your right to do that, but also reserve the right to decline to participate. :(
I haven't been knitting along with either of the KALS so far, but hope you have a significant take up of the this shawl to start paying you for all the work you have put in!

Hi Anna, I just sent my money with PayPal. My Yahoo account sign on is Rhondaknits. I'm almost done with Mystic Light and I bought the Mystic Waters pattern already too. Will do that one someday when I get the chance. In the mean time, I can't wait to block my Mystic Light ... only 8 rows to go. Thanks for such lovely patterns and all the work you do on the KALs.

Anna is this part 3 of the series?
Karen - Mystic Meadows is separate from the Mystic Elements series. The next two shawls in that series will most likely be called Mystic Air and Mystic Earth, so they won't be confused with anything else.
I had the urge to knit something different and came up with Mystic Meadows instead. :-)

Sherry - Mystic Meadows is separate from the Mystic Elements series.
Laceweight would work, but of course your measurements would be different. The design will look fine in laceweight yarn though.

Anna, the last time I paid for a KAL, it went horribly wrong, so I'm not comfortable doing that anymore. Not saying yours will, but still. :) Will you be offering the pattern up for purchase after the KAL? I'd still love to knit it! :)

I just bought some Fleece Artist Cashlana at a great price (a "destash" sale) that would be a perfect color for this. Do you know if that yarn would be a good choice?
Nancy - I think that would be lovely. I've never used Cashlana myself, but the weight seems just about right, and a Cashmere/Merino blend almost has to be wonderful. :-)
